In the same year, Victor Records also signed The Carter Family, who later became the first family of country music. Jimmie Rodgers became an instant national success, being credited with the first million-selling single 'Blue Yodel #1' and his various catalogue of songs which were all recorded between 1927 and 1933. In 1933 after years of suffering from Tuberculosis, Jimmie Rodgers died due to a lung haemorrhage at the age of 35. In 1961, Jimmie Rodgers was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

The most famous year for Country Music was most likely 1989. The sheer number of artist who debuted in 1989 is comparible to a future induction list to the Hall of Fame. For example;

Garth Brooks,

Just to name a few!
